Lullabies are among the first bits of music that we hear. Whether Brahms or B.J. Thomas, most of us have a sense memory of being held warm and close, rocked and soothed as we drifted off to sleep, and that memory can be recalled by the music that imprinted itself on our psyche along with the warmth and the love.

That was the sensation I was trying to recapture with Lullaby, found on the Timeless Motion CD. The soft, subtle rhythm forms an all-enveloping background for the lush richness of the violin’s soaring melody.
