we are one on a yin-yang world

Truly, we are one world. My lifetime’s work has been to assist humanity in realizing how alike we are, despite our obvious differences; to help humanity celebrate its cultural diversity as one race, the human race; and to play my beloved instrument of choice, the violin, in relaxing, meditative, healing ways that express the immensity of all human emotions and experiences.

“Daniel Kobialka’s music is Heaven-sent - it is not only beautiful, it can actually help the healing process. Highly recommended for relaxation.” - Jack Clarke (author of “Life After Grief”)

As winter solstice approaches for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, as we slip slowly into winter, our lives slow down a bit and some of our journeys go within. As the holiday season unfolds, and the year draws to a close, we reflect on our year’s adventures, where we stand now, and the paths we would like to take in the coming year.

However, I’m struck by the yin-yang aspect of the earth, north/south, winter/summer. South America, Africa, Australia…it’s summer there, a totally different experience. Stretching and relaxing in the sun, activity, interaction, busyness - while we here in the north withdraw into our winter dreams, our reflections, our plans.

Thanks to modern technology, communications and transportation, within seconds, minutes, hours we can change our reality from one hemisphere to the other, often without leaving our homes.

May the peace and joy of this holiday season spread around this luminous globe we all call home, and fill all our hearts and minds with compassion and the spirit of giving.
