Relaxation Music for Power Naps
I’ve read that 65% of teens and adults in the U.S. are sleep-deprived. I don’t know how that number was determined, but if you’re sleep deprived, you know it, and you’d probably like some help. Power naps supported by relaxing music may be your answer.
A 20-30 minute nap used to be called a cat nap, now it’s called a power nap. Maybe the new name came from the need to explain why you’ve got your eyes closed at work or when your spouse is wondering about that unfinished chores list! A ‘cat nap’ sounds like you’re being lazy, a ‘power nap’ sounds like a strategy for accomplishment.
The name power nap can make your argument more convincing. What argument? The one that says if you can get even 20 minutes of extra sleep in a day you’ll feel healthier, have more energy, be more productive, and maybe even lose weight! Many people have found my CDs, in particular the Childrens Albums, Pathless Journey, Dreams Beyond the Twilight, and Timeless Motion, to be very helpful as sleep and relaxation inducers.
What is a power nap?
Everyone needs between 6 and 9 hours of sleep per night. You need to determine how long you need. For example, some people find they only need 6 hours of sleep if they go to bed at 10 or 11pm, but need more if they don’t get to bed until after midnight. If you don’t get at least 6 hours of sleep a night, you can assume you need more.
A power nap lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. If you sleep longer, you will probably wake up groggy and not be able to function at 100%. On the other hand, a power nap of 20 minutes should mean you will wake and be able to perform at 120%! What better way to time your nap than to download relaxation music singles that are exactly the length of time that you would like to nap? Read more…

This is really useful for people that are on the move and work long hours. Relaxation music can help to get you in the zone for a quick effective nap. Some find meditation helps also. I will create an article on my blog to link to here as it will help my readers too. Thank you.
