Yes, it’s true, I’ve been reading about these massage chairs, coming out of China and Japan, with all sorts of gadgets attached, such as a human hand imitation massage head (!), infrared lamps for the proper temperature for heat therapy, a glass teapot for the perfect ambiance, and yes, it’s all synchronized to relaxing music.

It seems that the rollers in the back respond to the bass sounds from a CD or DVD, the leg vibrators respond to the midrange frequencies, and the treble range sets off tapping and vibration near the spine.

It’s all run by a remote control.

Give me a real, human, hands-on massage any day. But I can see that those who like to run their world by remote control might have fun with this.

At any rate, whenever I see gadgets come out like this, I think: one more affirmation that more and more people are seeking relief through massage and music.
