Coming Home

lamp lighting the way home“Going Home Again” is the name of the album I’m giving away in my free holiday music contest. Going home, coming home, can have so many different meanings…

I cannot believe the beauty of this message I received in an email. The author graciously agreed to allow me to share it, and added an additional note which I’ve included as the P.S.

Dear Daniel,

Last Christmas I was wrapping presents in the living room. It was cold and wet outside. The wood stove was burning, the tree was lit with ribbons of gold and burgundy streaming down, bread was baking in the oven, lights were low and candles were lit. The whole house had a dreamy effect.

My 18 year old daughter (who has had very “interesting” teen years) came down the stairs in her nightgown and asked me, “What is that music you are playing? I feel like I’m in a Disney movie. . . in the forest, with all of the animals that talk.”

I answered, “Daniel Kobialka, Going Home Again”.  How “à propos”.  Her spirit was that of an innocent 5 year old.  My 18 year old. . . coming home again.

For that moment in my life, I bless you.
Thank you for giving me that.

May We All Know Peace,
May We All Be Love.

Love and light to you,
Liza

P.S. To watch someone who has been so loved as my daughter was, lose herself in the world to the extent that she did, is really difficult, especially when teaching people how to love themselves is what I do. I do believe those years are a natural part of growing up, yet it doesn’t make it any easier.

Daniel’s music not only brought her home to me, but it resonated deeply within her, bringing her home to herself. To me, that is the greatest gift.
