Music therapy is the purposeful practical application of specific correlated vibrations and chords meant to recalibrate the human body to a “normal” state of health, as practiced by a licensed professional. Music healing is every way that music is used as a medium for love and compassion.

As dedicated to collaboration as I am, in both music production and my online website activities, I’ve been blessed by the opportunity to add my music to the healing work of a group called Humanity Healing.

“The goal of the Humanity Healing Foundation is to search out viable and sustainable solutions to some of the challenges facing Humanity and to resolve these through the application of Spiritual Activism.”

Humanity Healing is a gathering of people around the world, dedicated to helping bring people together to share, learn and develop new ways to expand and send many different forms of healing to the world. We believe that each of us has the capability of making a real change in this world for the better. We believe that together we can heal the world, one soul at a time, so as no one is forgotten.

‘The Ripple Effect‘ is Humanity Healing’s most important visual statement so far in its call for all to engage with the principles of Spiritual Activism in tackling the root causes of suffering and distress in the world. The Ripple Effect is based on the understanding that we are all connected. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives and their reactions in turn affect others.

Humanity Healing began as a Yahoo group, then broadened its scope through a MySpace page. There we rapidly attracted a large group of people interested in coming together to promote the growth of human spirituality and the betterment of mankind around the globe. In order to organize this, Humanity Healing™ started the Ambassador program; I have been designated as the Lead Ambassador, House of Creation and also as the Executive Manager of Creative Arts.

Science has proven that newborn infants must be touched to kindle their desire to survive and promote the likelihood of a well-adapted and balanced human being. So being able to touch another with love is a healing act. Everyone and anyone can do that. Touching with words or thoughts is the act of healing with prayer or with song.

Years back, Leonard Bernstein invited me to perform as concertmaster in the world premiere of his production of “Mass“. While there, he invited me along to speak with management and producers in the recording industry. I learned from them, to my surprise, that the violin, the instrument that I consider the most beautiful and evocative of any, was not considered by the recording industry to be a marketable sound - that people would not buy recordings that featured the violin.

That piece of news amazed me. To me, the violin is the most beautiful, evocative and versatile instrument ever created. In the hands of a skilled musician, the violin can gloat, laugh, exult or cry. It can express nearly any emotion that humans can feel in their hearts and souls. I challenged myself then to produce works of music that presented the violin as I know it - the evocative and expressive voice of the soul.

The center of my focus as a musician has always been the rejuvenating power of music. I express through my music the essence of humanity; harmony, balance, peace. I create music that touches and elevates the soul. This is the reason I have been asked to lead the House of Creation, within Humanity Healing - to invite others to join in the adventure to restore these qualities to all who inhabit this gorgeous planet we call Earth. Each of us can smile, each of us can pray, each of us can reach out with love to touch another.
