This well-known Korean folk song comes from Mongeumpo, one of the 19 provinces. It describes the beauty and joy of walking the local landscape. Roughly translated, the lyric tells of a walk around the small harbor peninsula, and of an encounter with a lover. Drums are heard in the distant hills. This ancient melody is believed to be from the "Lee Dynasty" (1392-1892). It is possible this tune is over 500 years old!
